Looking forward, Khanyisa envisions transitioning from her primary business career to the realms of food and creativity. Balancing her roles as a seasoned businessperson and accomplished author, her recent cookbook, ‘Khanyisa, A Culinary Storyteller,’ has garnered international acclaim. She embraces these dual pursuits as integral to her destiny, all while dedicating her efforts to philanthropy through The Khanyisa Malabi Foundation.

Muako Maepa

Co-Founder & Philanthropist

Muako is a published cookbook author. Using the medium of food and literature, his message to readers became to dare to be different – to stand out from the crowd and to realise the person you are meant to be.

At the age of 16, Muako formed his own charitable foundation, inspired by the loss of his close friend, Santino Da Silva. The ILLUMMination Foundation is a non-profit company with the sole purpose of giving the youth of South Africa equal and abundant opportunities for a life of success. Through various projects and community initiatives, the foundation aims to mobilise resources and offer future leaders the tools, facilities, and continuous support to reach and maintain their full potential.

Muako completed his high school studies at Michaelhouse and with him starting university overseas in September. He aims to share the creation of his series of content to inspire future leaders, as well as manage his start-up and the day-to-day operations of the foundation.
